This is a rich moisturising herbal cream, similar to the Lavender and Nettle cream, with the same amount of cocoa butter and almond oil. However, this slightly lighter cream can be happily used on the face if you have really dry skin. Marigold Cream, fondly known as ‘my scraggy neck cream’ is also wonderful for moisturising that particular area of the body. The marigolds are grown in a large patch of my vegetable garden. I pick the golden petals on warm, sunny days, dry them over the Aga, and then store them in brown glass jars until needed. When I make the marigold cream, I boil up the petals, filter them and add them into this formula. Marigold petals are harvested during the summer, so perhaps it should come as no surprise that this marigold cream is also a beautiful summer cream for the whole body, which can be used before and after sunbathing. It will leave the skin feeling delightfully soft and pampered.
